Great Tafsirs is a non-profit application for the sciences of the holy Qur’an; where users from all around the world can effectively access a large database of Qur’anic Commentary (tafsir) for the most important and accredited Sunni, Shi’ite, and Sufi scholars in the Muslim world such as Al-Zamakhshiri, Al-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, Al-Razi, and Ibn Kathir, etc. The application covers the seven Islamic schools (madhabs): Shafi’i, Hanafi, Maliki, Hanbali, Ja’afari, Zeidi, and Ibadhi, and does not adopt a certain school or support one without the other; as it aims at providing all relevant sciences and the users have the freedom to choose what they want without being directed to one.
It also provides access to several works of Qur’anic translations, recitations, and other essential resources of meanings, syntax, and revelation reasons, etc. Moreover, it provides an advanced user-friendly search engine that enables users to search for words and text within Qur’an.

If you dont like one interpretation, you have about 80 others works to choose from. It helped me realize that none solves some of the core problems.
Please, please : may I dare to wish and hope for an English, Spanish and French translation for non-Arabic students readers, inshAllah ? Asiatic and Russian language would be nice too. JazakAllah Khayran for your future developpement.
Some bad moments
A great application, contains very useful information that can be easily looked up. It is very useful to the research I am preparing. Jazakom Allah khair.
This is the app Ive been waiting for. The content is exhaustive, especially the commentaries. And the speak option for selected text... I didnt know there was an Arabic voice! I look forward to future updates such as text enlargement, and a horizontal view when you turn the phone.
This is a unique app in two ways. First, one can save verses in user-defined folders which facilitates studies. Second, there are many tafseers including simple word meanings which again facilitates comparative studies.
Two requests. Please include more tafseers and a facility to display tafseers side by side. Also the GUI is not up-to-date with iOS technologies.
There are many Quran related apps, but we still await a serious comparative studies app, much needed in this age. Hope this will be the one.
Could you please put all the online contents (tafsirs, translations, and...) together, so it could be downloaded and used offline? Its really hard to use when its online, due to the net disconnections.
